The question

After taking the Section 608 test, how soon must the certifying program send the results?

  • Within 7 days
  • Within 30 daysCorrect answer
  • Within 90 days
  • Within one year

Why “Within 30 days” is correct

Appendix D requires certifying programs to give applicants their results no later than 30 days from the test date and to issue the wallet card within 30 days. For mail-in Type I tests the 30 days run from when the program receives the completed test.

Why the other answers are wrong

  • Within 7 days — Seven days is not the deadline in the rule.
  • Within 90 days — Ninety days is longer than the rule allows.
  • Within one year — One year is far longer than the 30-day deadline.
